In the Spring of 2023, my Introduction to Illustration class tasked us with a distinctive assignment: to select a news headline and create a corresponding illustration as one might find in a newspaper or magazine. I chose a headline concerning the speculative future sale of land on the moon. Inspired by the idea of space for commercial use, I envisioned a scenario where a supercenter exists on the moon, complete with a "for lease" sign prominently displayed in front. This project allowed me to explore and visualize a conceptually futuristic theme, blending current commercial realities with the imaginative possibilities of extraterrestrial development. This exercise not only enhanced my illustrative skills but also encouraged a creative interpretation of future trends.
